To fully embrace the meaning of assistance, 800 STAR through “Sanctuary Assistance Services” (SAS), seeks to reach out to disadvantaged groups and individuals. It is the aim of SAS to empower these groups to take control of their destinies, through various activities which demonstrate and develop the mind, the body and the spirit. SAS has hosted various family days and sponsored two 22km walk-a-thons, titled “Walk for Hope”, to raise funds for various groups. This will become an annual sponsored event.
